In recent days we’ve been very busy with some projects for our major clients, but it hasn’t all been about work.
At VI we love technology, obviously, but among our other interests we are also keen cyclists, and we all love cake — well, who doesn’t?
When we heard about the Macmillan ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, we decided to put our love of cake to good use by initiating a charity morning here at Dock. These coffee mornings are one of Macmillan’s biggest fundraising events, where people from all across the UK are asked to hold a coffee morning to raise money for those living with cancer.
There is a real sense of community here at Dock, and we are sure that this would prove to be a winner with all of the other tenants. The guys at Dock, particularly Andrea and Declan, were only happy to run with the idea, and soon we were all baking away — some more competitively than others…
All of the tenants got behind the morning and by the time the last few cupcakes were sold, £261 had been raised for a fantastic cause. Who’s to say you can’t have your cake, and eat it?
